Alfredo De Stefano - Biography
Was born in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico, in 1961. He has a Bachelors Degree in Communication Sciences by the Universidad Autonoma de Coahuila. Since 1982 has participated in more than 70 individual and collective expositions, in Mexico as well as in United States, South America, Europe and Asia.

In 1993, he was awarded a scholarship for young creators by CONACULTA; in 1994, he received the Medal of the Selection Award by the 54º International Photography Saloon of Japan; in 1995, he was awarded with the Artist with Trajectory Scolarship by the Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes, in Saltillo Coahuila; in 1997, he received the scholarship for Coinvestment Projects by the FONCA, in Mexico, D.F.; in 1998, the Artist with Trajectory Scolarship by the Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes, in Saltillo Coahuila; and in 2000, he received the mention of honor in the contest The Body and the Fruit, by the French House, in Mexico, D.F.
His images have appeared in numerous books and magazines, and his work can be found in several collections, both national and international.
