In
1993, he was awarded a scholarship for young creators by CONACULTA; in 1994,
he received the Medal of the Selection Award by the 54º International Photography
Saloon of Japan; in 1995, he was awarded with the “Artist with Trajectory”
Scolarship by the “Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes”, in Saltillo
Coahuila; in 1997, he received the scholarship for “Coinvestment Projects”
by the FONCA, in Mexico, D.F.; in 1998, the “Artist with Trajectory” Scolarship
by the “Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes”, in Saltillo Coahuila;
and in 2000, he received the mention of honor in the contest “The Body and
the Fruit”, by the French House, in Mexico, D.F.
His images have appeared in numerous books and magazines, and his work can
be found in several collections, both national and international.
